How To Overcome Limiting Beliefs About Money

Despite what some believe, a lack of money is not always a result of laziness or a person just not knowing how to make money.

There are millions of people who are struggling to try to achieve financial success, studying hard, working late, making huge sacrifices, and yet success always eeems so far away.

This is because of limiting beliefs and mental blocks that keeps a person stuck in a financial rut.

There are different kinds of limiting beliefs you may have about money.

The most common blocks that stop people from being able to make money are:

1 - Believing that wanting money is evil.

For some people, they've been taught that money is evil, and wanting it makes them a bad person. You may have heard and/or believe statements such as:

  • Money is the root of all evil. (by the way, this is actually one of the most misquoted phrases of all time. The actual quote is “the love of money is the root of all evil”)
  • People won’t like me if I’m rich.
  • My friends and family will reject me if I’m successful.
  • Being poor is spiritual.
  • Rich people got that way by lying, cheating and stealing.
  • Rich people are selfish, shallow and greedy.
  • Rich people are obsessed with money
  • Money is the root of all evil
  • Filthy rich
  • Disgustingly wealthy / insanely wealthy
  • I may not have money, but at least I'm honest

2 - Believing you do not deserve to be rich

For others, they have very low self esteem and do not think they deserve or have the ability to earn a lot of money. You may believe statements like:

  • You can't have everything you want
  • I'm not smart enough/good looking enough to be rich.
  • I’m a failure.
  • I don't deserve to be rich.

3 - Having a scarcity mindset

Another limiting belief is the scarcity mindset.

When you have a scarcity mindset, you feel there is not enough abundance in the world to go around. If you have something, it is because you're taking it away from someone else. You believe there is a limit on all of the good things in life.

When you have this type of mindset, you will feel angry and resentful toward others with success. You see them as hogging all of the good things in the world for themselves.

You may believe you can never have what they have, because they are simply "lucky". You feel helpless and out of control, and instead of actively pursuing your goals, you simply sit around and wait for your ship to come in.

On the other hand, if you have an abundance mindset, you believe there is plenty for everyone, and you have the ability to create good things for yourself.

You do not feel envious of others success, instead you are inspired when you hear of their success and want to achieve it for yourself. You feel like you are in control of your life and your results.

Because you are reading this page, it's obvious there's a part of you that really does want to make money. And that is great! Money brings wonderful things into your life.

Money gives you the ability to have experiences you can never have without money. For example, my personal motivation for making money is I want to see the world. I want to go on an African safari, visit Italy, and ride a camel through Egypt!

You may have different motivations, but the point is - money makes life better. It's as simple as that.

It may not "make you" happy if you are a miserable person and your misery is caused by something other than a lack of money (like maybe a self esteem problem or trouble in your relationship, etc.)

Money cannot buy happiness for those whose problems have nothing to do with money! If the reason you are unhappy is because you can't afford to eat, then money is definitely going to make you happier.

Anyway, I'm getting off topic here.

The point is, you are here because you want to make more money. You would not be reading this page if that weren't true.

However, you are struggling to make money because you have conflicting internal beliefs.

Part of you wants to make money, but another part of you thinks it is wrong, or thinks you do not deserve to make money.

You may say "I want to make a lot of money", but at the same time your dominant subconscious thoughts are replying with negative beliefs like "You aren't smart enough to be rich" or "if you make a lot of money, people won't like you."

As a result, you sabotage your own success and stay stuck in a rut. You may work hard and even get close to success, but then suddenly everything will start to fall apart and you don't know why.

The reason why is because you have negative beliefs stored in your subconsious mind.

Your subconscious mind is where your all of your beliefs are stored, and this part of your brain cannot be argued with.

It is not the logical part of your brain. It does not think, it simply acts on what it "knows"

I have some really great news for you though. The negative beliefs you have stored in your subconscious can be changed.

You don't have to have these beliefs forever. You can actually change the deep-rooted beliefs that are stored in your subconscious and as a result, begin to see rapid changes in your life. I know from experience.

And I've created a program designed to help people rapidly reprogram their subconscious mind to destroy limiting beliefs and replace them with a success mindset. Click here to learn more about it.
